Soapstone counters are a natural product consisting of talc, quartz and other materials. Soapstone is light gray with a hint of green in its natural state and has various amounts of veining. Applying mineral oil on a regular basis helps to darken the stone and adds character and beauty. Mineral oil also helps to seal the stone from staining.
