About Us

Distinctive Kitchens and Baths started as a general remodeling company under the name of Custom Edge in 1997. At that time, our business involved kitchen remodeling, general remodeling, electrical, plumbing, painting and flooring. A large part of our business also included replacement of laminate countertops.

As the business grew, we recognized the need to focus on what we did best. So in 2006, Distinctive Kitchens and Baths made its debut serving the client seeking personal service, distinctive design and fine cabinetry. Today, we are a full-service Kitchen and Bathroom remodeling company including Custom Cabinetry, design services and highly skilled installations.   Mike is a hands-on owner and is often on the jobsite working side-by-side with the other trades.

Owner History:

Owner and Designer Mike Wenger now has over 25 years in the custom cabinetry, kitchen and bath remodeling business. Over the years, Mike has been involved with some of the most beautiful and detailed kitchen and bathroom projects in the central PA area and beyond as an installer, project manager, and designer. With additional experience in electrical, plumbing, and general remodeling, we are well equipped to guide your project from conception to completion – on time, and on budget. Mike's wife of 20 years says he has few hobbies, but he does enjoy the beach, working on the cars or  lawn, serving as assistant baseball coach or just being there for his family. Of course there is always the home project as we slowly update our modest 1920's farm house.  He also enjoys revisiting the small family farm to help in the summer and serving his church and neighbors. We are always willing to try to help those in need as we are able.
